If the forecast holds I'll probably head to waukegan from the city sometime in the afternoon and just eat the parking fee.

Unfortunately sometimes you have to PAY to PLAY lOl... I'll be there early maybe try to sneak before the copper hits the booth but you also have to remember they open later also...Hey I have also noticed that some of Sundays may spill over to monday, we'll see..

Man I was so close to being able to ride this weekend and then all of a sudden I got roped in to going to Indiana with the woman.. Bummer dude.. I was going to hit miller cause it'd be pretty onshore and just right for me..

Hard to say. Grant might fire, but I'm a little iffy about it. We'll have to see what happens. Just give me a call early in the am. As of now I'm thinking more waukegan than grant but we'll see.

I was hoping to catch some of that wind tomorrow.
Is Waukegan the closest spot for the forecast tomorrow?
If anyone is heading out
from the city and has some extra room, could I catch a ride?

Hey Shawn,

Give me a text. We are heading in the city to kite. It's called Montrose beach. You just have to have a good level of kiting ability to kite there (certified) That will be the closest otherwise Miller beach or Waukegan/Zion (same place really).

Me and a bunch are heading to Montrose for the day. Should be a KILLER day!

Hey guys,

My name is Jaime and I'm new to the forum-- It was really nice to meet some of you at miller last Tuesday (G, Jeff, Jason, Mike, Amanda) After taking lessons back in April in DR and getting certified (IKO level 3M),I have yet to ride in the big lake. At any rate, I was hoping to meet many of you tomorrow at Waukegan or Zion. Whats the call? Either location seems that it would be the best way to go for me in order to get back into the motion of things and continue my training-- plus I definitely want to hear from the experienced riders about the intricacies of riding on lake Michigan which I'm pretty sure are different from the Caribbean wAters.
Question though, I was looking at the directions to waukegan that are posted on the forum and I just wanted to makesure that if a follow them I'll be able to get to the same place where all of you usually park --the place where you have to pay $20 to park
