Hey Everyone,

Is anybody thinking about doing some kiting tomorrow on 8/23? It looks like we will have some winds. I'm afraid though that they might be associated with some thunderstorms.

It's the storms. Notice the quick jump in wind, that's not a good sign. Although you can ride the pre and post storm wind, just be really careful when it comes through.

I won't head out, but since it's South - South West you'll have to head over to at LEAST wolf lake or farther in Michigan (St. Joe maybe). Not worth it for storm winds IMO, but I don't want to put you down so hopefully you can find someone

Yesterday was a day that required waiting for us. Three of us went up to Two rivers hoping to get the cleanest winds and some big waves. Got there around 11:30 and went to a German deli until the rain cleared. There we found a world class selection of European beers, with me of course selecting a favorite from Eastern Europe that was on tap, Czechvar. Got back to the beach around 1:30 and still no wind. We waited, napped and waited. I started to think the curse of two rivers has struck again, I think I am 3-7 up there this year, with me going up their only on a big forecast like yesterday.

We rode around 3 in up and down wind until it shut down around 4. I was getting ready to pack up at 4:30 when the wind hit. We rode in great conditions until 7ish. I was lit on my 11 and surf board in waist to head high waves. Ryan from Milwaukee was on a nine and hitting the surf as well. Kiting turned out to be late but good and I even landed my first unhooked to Banjo.
