Exuma Kitesurfing destination OK after hurricane Irene

hello all, just spoke with my fellow kiter steve and got an email from steven, exuma bahamas was lucky, minimal damage from hurricane irene. steve said williams town in little exuma got the worst hit. as the fast moving hurricane traveled north toward george town the impact was not as severe. there's some damage to several docks and homes, minimal flood waters have receded and power still needs to be restored in some areas ... bec usually does a good job.
he also said the beach erosion is not any worse than when we have strong northeast and swell for several days.
the exuma kitesurfing location at shoreline beach club in rolleville at the north end of the island is ok ... was holding my breath, as i'm off island mountain biking in durango. to any that may have sustained damage from irene, i wish you a speedy recovery.
