Adrien and I hit it today at Wolf Lake...full on session overpowered on my 12, he was looking good on a 9.

Last I checked you can still get in if you go up north a bit to 17th and follow that street to the beach. Last time I was kiting there a park ranger sent me up to that "entrance". Something about how it wasn't technically "in the park" or something so they don't close it.

Ah yes to avoid confussion I should specify that the south unit is closed but the north unit has never been closed. North unit is ok I guess but I'm just not a fan. To mush submerged structure and rocks/walls.

Today in Zion there was some grandpa sitting in car and he didn't let anyone in. So I ended in Waukegan, it was OK, but gusty. I saw better days before... there was about 10 kites different sizes 9-14m.

Hit 17th St. with Greg and did a couple of downwinders to Keegs......wind was super sketch towards Keegs, gusty and offshore.......nice head-high waves above the nuclear plant, and yes there are a lot of old structures around the shoreline, so BEWARE if you kite around there....

Trees were going off right next to the beach; orange, rust, maroon,yellow.....splendid Fall colors as we zipped the coastline on our 9's!!!!! Magnificent, as was the PIZZA at the SILO in Lake Bluff with a cold Newcastle...........chalk up another memorable downwinder, or two, on the Big Lake!!!!!!!!!!!
