it's so easy for something to go wrong in such strong winds when you're attached to one line like that.

Don't really get this? what do you mean attached to one line? where am i supposed to attach my leash....i have ridden with it broke like it is and have just attached my leash to my chicken loop, but didnt like that.

I thought that by having my leash attached to the thingy that broke if i come out of my c.loop and let go of bar and go to leash....kite depowers and falls. then i can hook back in to c.loop when i get bar back?

I just ride ive never been good with parts and putting shit together.

Yeah, you have it correct... that's the "CSS BUNGEE" or Center-line Safety System bungee. It is an essential part of the safety depower. It is your flag-out line. If you can't acquire it elsewhere, the link you showed looks like the correct line otherwise I can get you one for the same cost. Just PM me.

23-foot wave sets record at Lake Michigan's south buoy

the highest since readings began in 1981.

The buoy, about 50 miles west-southwest of Holland, takes readings from March into November each year, and is shut down each winter, National Weather Service meteorologist Bob Dukesherer said.

"That's the highest wave I've seen," Dukesherer said. Winds are subsiding gradually today, so the 23-foot record is likely to stand, Dukesherer said.

The previous record was a 20.3-foot wave in November 1998, he said.
