So we manage to get some on Saturday. As it turn our we had a good day, by that I mean sun. air temp around 32; water 35. Wind was blasting strong 40-45 kts.
It felt warm, as to my surprise. the only problem we had was the wind chilled and its effect on wet lines. after 3 hr of riding my depower was getting stock so I decided to bail out in one piece.
Great experience among nice wave set in Michigan City.
3 Brace souls showed up: John, Dewsy and me

that water doesn't look that cold, jk. With no ice on the shore that almost looks inviting. Looks like you had a great time, who is the other person with you and what kite are you flying?

Its a fun feeling when you can't hold your bar anymore, due to the ice build up.
I was on 7m nobile NHP (C-Blend)
John was on 7 M Waroo and his custom build (by him) strapless surfboard
And Dewsy on 8M

fun day with more to come.

lol, yea why not,
Mask worked great for me, i did cut out parts around lips to get more air and keep water away. works really well especially if you getting warm up and that you get nasty spray of freezing water on your forehead.

Those look like 4-5ft swells in some spots. Amazing vid! I actually put on a sweatshirt as I was watching this.

Once again... I am proved wrong when I say Lake Michigan has no surf.

I was riding on axon 6.0
John was in his custom board, i think like 6.6
