If a number of people are going again, I'll be there to photograph. Let's make this happen.
Wind is coming from the west on saturday.

I know for myself I am stoked to go now, but will likely shy away from due to the cold water/potentially tough swim in should a break down happen. If enough people go would be safer in numbers. MC would be really clean and manageable if to be w or wsw. THis is sideshore and a any problems can leave you out there a while on this direction so take care. Coast guard is right there and on duty so that would be good. Few places just a mile or two down the road making a few short downwinders making it nice for staying close to shore. Again kiting is great but a lost kite and big swim in is something to take serious this time of year so good plans are important.

Very good point. Staying close to shore is smart, fun and OK this time of the year (no beach goers). There are two launch/land spots between New Buffalo and Wako for the short downwinders. Red Arrow to Union Pier - left on Town Line Road to the End, and next Red Arrow to Lakeside - left on Pier Road to the end.

just got back from riding waukegan. It was epic but cold.
if anyone wants to go snowkite in wisconsin tommorow txt me 8475717457
For anyone going in water stay safe i would not go unless it is blowing onshore. Not sideshore even since swimming is not easy.

Wasn't it SW to WSW Sat? (and blowing like 35-40?) I thought I checked the windmeter and it was offshore and the gusts were 20mph difference.
