The thicker the suit, the less likely my balls will hurt on a hot landing.

My Ass is still bruised from hitting an underwater rock bed a week and a half ago. Fins hit the rocks and got thrown off the board and landed in what I thought was shallow sand. Man, that hurt and thought for sure the suit was ripped. Glad the shorts saved my suit. One more reason to wear board shorts over your suits.

board shorts are good for many things! Not only do they protect your wetsuit, but make you look less gay and I also figured this winter that they actually keep you a little bit warmer in cold water.

Mr. Cook you have given me lots of good advice on equipment and kiteboarding as I have taken up this wonderful sport, however wearing board shorts over a wetsuit....I am sorry I just can not get on board with such an idea. :) Rock on however.

They make a good spot for stuffing your room key and a wad of cash when on vacation.

Once you wear them you can't go back, doesn't feel right without them. I carry my car keys in H20 pack in the pocket. Helps identify you in pics too.
