Not sure if this has been posted before, but I found this interesting map to view the wind:
http://hint.fm/wind/It gets updated once an hour and seems somewhat accurate, the map just doesn't contain lakes or smaller cities so its kinda hard to find some spots.

Was not happy about missing Tuesday, Jen's picture and this map make it a bit more difficult.

Yeah man...I dig it....pretty cool....I matched it up with the real MET data from the pier heads here in MI and it's pretty accurate.Super cool link . Thanks for sharing.
One wierd thing I see is that it's blowing from South to North on the west coast....not sure if it does that much...Maybe it's santa anna winds? I'm iggnorant I guess. BUT I have only been there in the summers where it always seems to blow N 30-35 kts every flipping day for the entire summer until October then the rain comes.
Anyone with more experience ion the west coast to light to shed on this?
