April 4 - Montrose or Waukegan

Any one in for a early morning session at Waukegan or Montrose? Don't feel like being the only one out on the beach. Thinking to head out around 8 to any of these spots

I might be available. Zion is showing open. I'm thinking on a NE Zion may be the call. On a north it tends to be cleaner wind.
Me = 145lb + 6" + (15M spd3 dlx, 11M x-bow, Kahoona 9.5M, 7.5V2) + Zap skim, home made 133 orange carbon aka Bifrost, home made black 170x50 cabon racing light wind tt, 133 wide tip carbon) + red helmet

I should be able to make it also.
I`ll get there 10am or so.
Which spot, Waukegan or Zion, depends on wind direction.
I hope I can handle the cold, my last session was in Barbados.

man the waves going to be nice tomorrow. we were riding in casino today and white caps all over. cant wait till tomorrow.

I`ll probably hold for a while till I see the numbers go up, seems too light right now.
Now thinking 11am or noon arrival, I have to pull out at 3pm, so if the numbers are not up, I will go on faith.
Seems like Zion to me.

Waukegan for me at 12. It'll bump back up, have a little bit of faith :wink: I'll be riding the flats between the jettys :evil:

Sure is nice to have Zion back on the launch map. The wind there today was sooooooo steady.
Did a drive by at Waukegan and the parking area is all cleaned up and looks ready for another season.

Zion was awesome today , to bad I left my bar there.
Had another session at Waukegan later and now I know that if it blows NNE go ZION .

Classic pattern along the lake today. Up here we had a small craft advisory but no wind. North winds here almost always die off as the land heats up on sunny days. 20 in the morning less then 10 in the afternoon today. For you guys south of Kenosha it cranks up on these sunny days. Great to hear it was good and its nice to see the pattern hold

Tomorrow should be just as good for ya guys.

The wind at zion was supper steady and built nicely around 2ish.

Greg and I will be getting to zion around 10:30 and would love to sett up a downwinder or two. If you are interested and would like to contribute your car/truck to the caravan , meet us at zion around that time or give me a call at 608-669-4069. We may stop off in kenosha and take a look if there is still a bunch of east in it.
