Is anyone planning to go to Waukeegan 4/18 in the mid to late morning? Ikitesurf predicts south 15-18 which seems good for me, being in the process of transitioning from instruction to independence. I want to make sure someone else will be there if I make the drive from Chicago tomorrow.

I just got to wolf lake. There are white caps and I am going to say it is probably blowing in the 16 to 18's out of the south here on shore.

having ridden both waukeegan on a ssw for many years and wolf, i think they are pretty much the same for quality. yesterday wolf had a great window before the front moved in blowing lower to mid 20s. the flat sections are just as glassy as behind the pier at waukeegan. i think wolf is pretty great cuz the wind is strong on southerlies, its so shallow in so many spots you can stand, and no worries about losing it offshore. wolf gets a bad rap but is a gem for many of us given the amount of days and close drive.
