Would anyone go to Waukegan today? (6/18)... or is the wind too close to offshore? I noticed the "Where to Ride" link says SSW is acceptable there and it's currently at 200deg. Anybody heading out there later? Is it too ambitious to try to fit in a session after work? Say from 6-8:30pm?

Scratch that... 28g38 is a little rich for my experience level... maybe tomorrow.

I went for a little while after work, and it was some dirty, dirty wind. I have ridden keegs a few times with ssw, but this was bad Juju. I put up an 8m for a while to feel if it was cleaner up higher and a little off shore -- it was not. So I packed up and probably avoided a kitemare.

Experience is also knowing when not to go. Live to kite another day. Good job.

Glad to hear I made the right choice Coleo. I'm going to keep an eye on it today and maybe head up there later after I get the job out of the way. Hopefully it's a little cleaner today. It looks like it'll be a tad lighter and maybe a little more consistently SSW. If anybody heads up there today, let us know how it is.
