OBX or Keys?

Just for planning sake anyone know if there are any Chicago area groups trips planned for some summer, fall, or winter getaways?

There will be a fall getaway to OBX (Hatteras). The kiteriders crew (Madison, WI) usually heads it up. They've done it so many years now that it's down to a science on where to stay, what to eat, where to kite, etc. Been there twice and can't wait to go again this year That's my .02

if you can go for Hatteras.
Madcrew have 1-2 houses and there are rooms availible. they are fun and you can learn from them too. just make sure you pair up with someone at ur level.
Last fall i think 3 or 4 houses were avalible for Chicago crew

Cool! I am pretty sure its a done deal with a trip to find some wind this fall and this info helps alot... I will get ahold of the guys up in WI and see what its about. Thanks!

Bob at Kiteriders in Madison is the connection on the trips to Hatteras, check with him for buying gear from a local shop as well.

Or, just find out when they are going, and check Hatteras Realty website for tons of houses available, and pretty cheap. Remember, fall is out of season for beachgoers, and it is pretty empty there, except for kiters and windsurfers. I went 10+ times, and always had an excellent place to leave with buddies, even when booked pretty late.
