I think it was the kite where you rode 2 line, then rolled up the tips of the kite. When the tips looked like the end strut does now days, there were two more pig tails like we have now. It then became a 4 line kite.
However....using the 4 lines was only for.."pus###s" as those who really knew how to ride and use your edge to control the power only used 2 lines.
