Am back visiting in Chicago for a few weeks. Went to M the other night 8ish for a walk. Didn't see one lifeguard. This morning cycling past the life guard trailer at Oak Street Beach at 9:30 I noticed the trailer padlocked. Didn't see one lifeguard on the beach or near the trailer.
Was wondering if anyone knew the status of the Chicago lifeguards and what hours they patrol?

Not sure when they start up in the morning, but I know they go until 7:00pm. All rules still apply though, so no reason to change anything. We actually notice more people swim out further and a lot more scattered when the guards leave. Paul (zulutimer) and I had to quit when the sun was going down the other day because a head would bob here and there and we just weren't having that.
