Hurricane WIND!! haha. I'm going to get some in the early morning at Montrose. Hopefully before it rains and then stays rain throughout the day and the following :(

I think the heavy rain will stay south of Waukegan. 20+ winds and Issac clouds over Chicago.
I`ll go to Waukegan if the $20 parking bandits are not there, or to Zion if they are.

Rain stopped in Chicago, looks to be staying south of us, but Zero wind. I mean not even 2 knots. It was very rideable from 9-11, but I think it's done for the day

Worked the 2nd shift @ Keegs. The early crew got it good & packed it up after the storm arrived & killed it 'bout 1:30. Skies started to lighten a bit, rain began to back off and it was 12/13M conditions around 2:30/3ish. Got summa dat for 'bout an hour 'till I could barely hold down the 13. Rigged the 11 and rode 'till 5:30 or so, then got the girls on the trainer for a while. ... until out on the lake there arose such a clatter. Looked over my shoulder to see what's the matter. When what to my wondering eyes did appear, but three badass kiters, catchin' some air. Carves down the line, each wave was brand new, I knew in a moment, must be the downwind crew. Now Greg! now, Ivo! and check out West!! A Caution! A Caution! and Greg on a Best! To the bottom with a turn! to the top of the lip! I thought to myself, man these dudes are frickin' hip!

Topped off the day with a pro pizzaiolo spinning dough and wood firing Neapolitans with traditional Italian ingredients at Fiamico on Grand & Sheridan... straight across from the McDonald's. Man, 10-12 of us tripped over this little gem by accident celebrating that clean SSE about 8 or so Thursdays ago... the day 40 kites in the air at once were spotted. You really need to go say hello to Geno after your next Keegs sesh... this is one Italian culinary artisan who don't mess!

Parking fee collector guy's last day was yesterday for the season, yay!!

They had someone there yesterday?! The rain must've scared him off by the time I got there! Careful though... I showed up the windy weekend right after Labor Day last year (I think) with kiters galore and they were collecting. I asked the attendant what the deal was and he said they had just called him an hour before to come in... he wasn't too happy 'bout it either. Perhaps they read the forum!
