Def going to Holland MI tommorrow...leavin early and have room for one more if you wanna free ride. Callin for up to 30knts on NOAA... leavin NW Indiana round 530 and leavin Holland about 230...basically kiting from 8-230 CST Call if you wanna join, or if you are driving would LOVE to set up a downwinder! Hope you guys had fun. We could not face the 8 hours of driving, so instead Ken Moyer, Frank Scotello, and I had about six hours of fun at Clinton Lake before the front came through. Various levels of carnage - I blew leading edge bladders in Best Nemesis 9 and 12m kites (can't understand how they can blow inside the leading edge, but they did), and busted a fin off my surfboard by coming too close to the beach. Otherwise all good. Gusty, but around 20mph all day.

Made it to Holland yesterday and rode my 10.. then 7... then 10... then 10 again. Great day for my progression as I have become more comfortable riding toeside and got to blast off dozens of jumps and even landed a few of them...The wind around midday became soooo smoooth and you almost had to drag me off the beach... Pure Michigan!

Glad to hear the riding was good in Holland, and sorry to hear about your kite blow-ups Hugh.........shiz happens!!!!!!!!! Yeah ran the coast from Montague to LSP, crankin' the whole way.........lit 7's to start and pullin' in the strap the whole way.......gusting over 40 when we put 'em down below the lighthouse........Kuau notched his longest one to date, trailing the kites all the way down the beach ......Jimbo lost "air" and pulled up a few miles short, and TG got a tow-in from the Breeze at the end, but all safe and accounted for.......you know the rest of the story, cheese crackers smoked fish spicy asparagus and a few pops to finish up another dwndr for the bros...........

Love it that you got Kuau running the beach with ya on the Downwinders, West. Wed was a pea soup fog day here with winds 10-15. Thursday was not much. Paddled some waves after school with a group of 10-15 surfers. Wind was blowing south strong ten meter but I didn't want to chance kiting with the strong west behind the front which cam through around 5ish. Wind went from S 25 to W 35 in about 1-2 minutes. Before the front came through the waves really dropped as the pressure changed. Looking forward to next week.

dang bro squad..u coulda smoked a fish with us 20 min from ur door every time i hit on the nort side my cuzns going big. couple mo mega loopers on board and impressed with bobs surfn style.. nice to see him lookn right and layin it tight.

glad you boyz got it good, nothing like a sesh with your buddies, that's for sure........yeah I went for the 3 day blow, not a daytripper......Wed afternoon out of the south, Thurs south hammertime, and Fri da North.......campfires at night, hikes in the dunes, and a 25 mile beach run for my buddy!!!!!!!!!! The stars at night are big and bright, many miles from the city........
