Good seeing you bums yesterday...snowing when i left the house, rippage when i get to the beach! A cold 33 degrees dropping quick at sundown, west gets the ice trophy. Floyds w the boyz...

Was thinking about you guys and the bottom while watching the wind whip up the lake here. I was wondering it anyone was hardy enough to take on that brisk wind. Great to know many were. No kiting for me, though I am just as cold doing some major work on the car, which I should done when it was warm, but decided to kite instead on Wednesday and Thursday.

What were the waves like??

Yeah buddy....that was the cat's meow!!!!!!!!!! So freakin' smooth, and hammering steady winds......gotta love Miller when it is a strong West Wind. 3 Floyds was off the hook as well, with the death-metal and the kung fu show on the big screeen......Gumball and Zombie and the special brews.........ALL TIME!!!!!

Waves were 3ft to headhigh. Smooth. The wind direction worked really well. Wish i had my kite leggs under me but i still got 2 hrs riding in before i was getting sloppy...

excellent wind angle for attack, waves coming in sets, interval time, BUT then short on steep vert waves to get compromised on. Found what i was looking for on just down from the pier, mid way on a just a couple after 3 hours, but current made it hard to stay in place and very hit or miss to track these down being sets.

usually find my best game in a little more onshore and vertical, to have something sick happen whether i want it to or not. found i was kiting just a little too hard at the lip and not feeling the wave take over and become its own entity.

this time of year its wave hunting and the quest goes on. Finding that balance for the walls, angle and interval time is a really fun part of the hunt and while sometimes it exists, other times you throw up a f-ing kite and making the f-ing best of it with the arms and legs ur lucky enough to have to do it f-ing with!!!
