What are the best places for snowkliting and how close are they to the city for us? I think I remember some guys posting about Northerly Island and I was wondering if Wolf Lake has frozen over and could potentiallty be a decent spot. I can head up to Grass Lake but was wondering if anyone else had other suggestions.

Where is a good location to launch on Grass Lake? I was planning to go to Lake Winnebago this coming Sunday, but if there is closer location to Chicago I would like to try it.

Silver lake is another option but Grass lake is little closer to Chicago and hence more popular... not to mention that there is bar right at the lunch spot for apres kiting rehydration

Lots of fields by Elgin, grayslake, etc. Just ask permission most land owners are cool and like watching the sport.
