your wednesday could turn GOOOD!

Postby FSP » Mon Apr 08, 2013 8:58 pm

the "could" has to do with some associated rain however there is an all time full lake NE blow in the mix too. this means:

1. a potential zion dw dare i says 7m??
2. evanston for the launch savvy and distance challenged, could be a wave bonanza
3. the typically lesser ne spring winds at mc will offer big, smooth and clean 10 to 12m
4. dare i say montrash but hey, you do get to pump a kite. :o

its backup time of year so choose ur team.

I am thinking either Zion, Keegs, or Montrose around midday? Going to try and let the first 2 storms roll through then decide.

Gonna keep an eye on it, but windalerts angle for Casino might just work for me and its already lookin pretty clean. If it clocks too far NE or velocity drops too much guess I will just go home. Nice to work 250 yards from a launch... Otherwise hoping for another day this week.

These storms are keeping me at work... it looks like the further north you go the better luck you may have with avoiding lighting. Maybe a quick montrose sesh around 4....

Anyone else scared of getting struct by lightning?!?!

our Wednesday did turn goood, cold but goood. the waves did not get as big or come in as consistently as we were expecting but seeing as how slow this season is starting we were happy to have them. With all the rain in the Sheboygan (and everywhere else) the river was spewing out all kinds of trees and other river bank debris. It was a challenge I have never experienced, at times we were very limited to what sections of waves we were able to engage.

Damn! Is that a giant ass tree in that first picture? Please tell me you grinded it with your surfboard.

Slow start indeed. Only been out 3 times. By now it should be 3 times a week

grinding that log would have been the right thing to do but with the way I go through surfboards I was very cautious moving around the debris field. I looked at a photo sequence that followed me from the outside break to the beach and I counted three separate full size logs in the waves. There were so many greg was naming them as he was taking the pictures. this one is the loc ness monster

another one poking its head out.

ivo, I don't think the north half of the lake was pumping enough before we rode to create a larger better swell.
