Ca, Ca Caaaasino? THURs! @#^%#

Postby FSP » Tue May 21, 2013 10:00 pm

Listen fellas, I am just off a very satisfying full on 2 day jam, but I can hardly relax as I look at the pretty red colors on my screen, comin straight down the pipe right into a little place i like to call "play that hand or yer gonna get smacked by a freight train".

Dont stop on the tracks if you get caught in a daze staring at the lines and be sure to bring a diaper.

crap this looks solid?

Wanna go but MC gusting to 50mph...Being straight N that is tough. If it was NNW that would be a totally different game at Casino.

N is just 40 degrees onshore and you need that to pull into the pier. N means you can get more into the pier and NNW wont let you come in that close and must drop further off. Either way, they are both a great angle for down the line. If wind strength allows, this will be one of the best days/places you can pencil out.

You still got it,usually when whole lake was blowing N in casino was slight NNW..sure that direction was-is little better, but makes no difference today.

Should be there after 3pm

Well I have been there on this day a few times now, and I just dont have the weight to hold er down as of now. Hoping for some options sometime after 4 as they say. Supposed to drop off 5 knots leaving slight potential. Its one thing to just be pinned to the sky and another to have flexibility and ride.

WHOEVER gets there text or post what we have.

Ivo..i need that little stick?

Yes. I agree masta-IVO. Supposed to be NNE in mid afternoon which might pull it N if Casino can't keep bending it NNW. I gonna wait a few hours. See what happens in a bit.

Now How does such a crazy, brilliant sunset sit perfectly up the line and a full moon sit perfectly positioned down the line for what seemed like forever? It seemed for 2 hours I was losing my orientation on earth! The lighting from the 2 collided at times to effect my moods which was even more bizarre?? If that was not cool enough, into the evening the big rogues smashing into the pier chose to throw an off the hook rainbow every freakin tack. took the ride home to absorb it all but, that was a moving day.

Didnt realize a casino wave would actually find itself on a sandbar so far up wind of the pier it practically was at the harbor mouth? Caught one and realized I was passing the pier head as a 30 foot smash of water slammed/shot into the air. I felt that in my chest which was a good sign, to work with the mutations just over from this. Also surprised at how fast the wave would jack and come over, much of the time at the speed of the wind.

Lots of chaos and unpredicatable new breaks made it a great discovery experience, but most of the time i was on high alert and many occasions not sure of my self. Everyone did remarkably well, wandering through the new territory but back on the beach you could tell in our eyes that we had some new edge to this ride.

As the water turned to magenta and sun dropped behind the neon lights, so did the wind and for a half hour, got to get back acquainted with my old friends at the pier as they walled up and folded with grace..hard frontside wrap to backside smack..just the way it should be!!

shes all said and done, and next few days i can hopefully decode it.
