Hope to be at the Wolf around 2, and have a strict curfew of 4. Gonna hit it hard and fast.

Not seeing much on the radar, but if anything evaporates in those corn fields we'll get it sooner

I was hoping to go, but it looks like the storms are going to roll right through and be on and off for the rest of the night... working instead.

No waiting at waukeeeehu. felt like i was on some vacation far away as i took in all the beauty. Urban stood there like an ancient native chief pointing across the sky how all the storms would track around us as he uttered in some sort of tongue with precision accuracy. Awesome deep blues, and sunny rain just beyond us never affected the all day powerful wind.

Thought i was over the fear of megaloops when initiated an overpowered 10m from about 10:30 all the way thru to never gotten sooooo freaking yanked, as i still dont believe a kite did this to me. As I could not hold back and got slingshotted into a low kite, lost some steering and man did i have time to think about my knees that just buckled every which way to now be on a bad limp.

Everybody blowing up in front of the short shorts on the pier. hero wind it was.

Yea...crazy afternoon at Waukegan. We (me, Scott, and Adrien) actually decided after we were all driving to turn for Waukegan. It paid off. The stroms taunted us but never actually hit the beach...they passed about 15 miles south. Great side to side on wind with 9's and 10's flying.

It really helped to have a look at the time-lapse radar and figgure out the storm track. You could see them charging across the city and it looked pretty gloomy down south.

Looking forward to next time.

Wolf was bad... rain killed the wind from around 3-7pm then was gusty and luffy but still rideable. Made the wrong call this time. The wind meter readings were way off.

That was a lovely Wauky tale. Scotty, I have a friggin' tear in my eye. Mike, can you do it again?? Today perhaps?....

With a load of work and seeing the dark stuff coming up from the south, I opted out yesterday.

Waukegan was fun yesterday! Injuries happen when you go big. I tried two megalopps yesterday, both fantastically crashed. I kicked the board off way in advance cause I was just too scared when coming back down. My nuts ended up in my mouth on one of them. I'm determined this year though! So sick when they are HUGE! Get better Scotty!!

Did anyone else feels the 60* air over the water then 80*+ when boosting? I felt like I was in another atmosphere. Maybe that's normal when boosting over 100feet

We totally got lucky at Waukegan, as predicted the corn fields evaporated and created little isolated storms. We just happened to dodge them all. No joke either: We arrive, 30 knots. Mike gets out of the car, 25knots. Mike heads to the beach, 20 knots. Mike pumps up, 15knots. I was about to send him packing , but then the wind gods gave him a break.
