I am personally appalled that Whilhala and El Lobo did not make it on the list. Where's the love, yahoo?

don't be so bummed Joel.....Jeorose Beach in Indiana is in between the Casino and Gary, so rest assured da casino is bout as filthy...

And our wonderful neighbors to the North up in Milwaukee are notorious for the sewage overflow on the big rains.....so no need to feel slighted, we have been sufficiently represented in the dirtiest beaches around......

the best bet for clean beaches is to head up to the Northern part of Lake Michigan on the Michigan side; of course, that ain't rocket science.......on our family beach vacations, we are heading farther each year up the Michigan coast; we used to stay in Holland, then Grand Haven, but this year we are going to Pentwater....one of these days we will be fortunate enough to make it up towards Traverse City.....PURE MICHIGAN, my friend!!!!!! :D

oh please... the currents move it all throughout and upper michigan has all sorts of river runoffs, storm runoffs, sewage and a lovely coal burning ferry dumping tons of toxins out of ludington. and other pollution sources known and unknown. driving up north dont solve that!

"Outbreaks of Type E botulism killed scores of water birds along beaches in northern Lake Michigan. Since 1990 Type E botulism outbreaks, which have been exacerbated by invasive zebra and quagga mussels, have killed more than 87,000 birds at beaches along lakes Michigan, Erie, Huron and Ontario"
