I'm with you Bryce, I'm with you...... See you in the early AM. Love DP's on NE winds at M with no lifeguards till after 9am and sweet rollers backing up around the jetty...

Sweet DP with Bryce this morning. Took a while to get back into the groove of riding the "washing machine" at M. None the less powered up with new 22.5m Peter Lynn Charger kite with streamer attached had no trouble cruising up wind and finding the NE wind sweet spot under the jetty. New kite equivalent to new 18m/19m LEI's which makes for lots of fun summertime riding in lighter air....only without the pumping. For the PL kites you only need to roll them out and jerk them up. They self inflate by the time you have shaken out your lines.....

dont think i ever rode a sunset so outrageous as last night. first off the water was a new shade of tiel green from this one, and as the fire that spread across the sky was so intense the water turned into the deepest, thickest magenta paint you could run it through....water so opaque in one color. As flashes from cameras then fireworks, popped off into the distance, the runs to shore turned purple dark. A fast transition, A lofted upside down had me landing back in the paint and then into the even brighter fire sky as the afterburners kicked in to stun those who saw.

Spray from the wave hacks into the marbelized fire still blows my mind this morning. Havnt missed one sunset in 3 months and nothing touches what this did...everything on purging long into the darkness of night. pitch black as i came in at 10:30 it was all feel.

I watched my paint dry, having spent the day painting my house.

Definitely more than I could've asked for Szromba! A beautiful sunrise and smooth riding behind a topless photo shoot. Thanks Northeastly...

And whatever sizzlin' production was goin' down that morn! You guys were of course following the Montrose rules and not buzzing the beach in the area of the shoot I trust?? hehe

Mike,

You'll be happy to know Bryce and I with streamers flying mostly resisted buzzing the beach to get a better view of the topless gal in the photo shoot. A steady on shore breeze provided enough power to get through the shore break except when I needed to zoom by the bear breasted gal for a closer look.

After riding the smooth rollers on the Gulf in St. Pete have to say that it took be a few minutes to get my "washing machine" mojo going again in the five way waves. Eventually I worked my way past the mostly naked woman on the shore to the smooth water under the jetty. As I did it reminded me that if you can ride at M in a big on shore wind and nasty shore break you can ride anywhere...

As for the beauty of M in the morning and the evening in the setting sun for me it rivals anything in Florida....only better....
