UP kiting

Postby grimace » Mon Nov 04, 2013 7:32 am

So my ventures up here over the past 3 weeks have been filled with plenty of kiting in some crazy locations, but this spot is probably one of the most unique. These shots were taken in the town of Gay, MI. This beach is an atv/ truck beach so you can drive anywhere you want. Also on this beach are huge ponds 5-10ft deep that stay butter flat and are large enough for a couple kiters. Check out the birds eye view of the beach!

That is so awsome that you going to the chance to really explore that area. Wow that is good living. I can't imagine all the little spots up there for just that one wind direction. Great pics and spot. I'm guessing that spot works on a ENE to SSW?

I have been to Gay a number times, no kiting though, just other friendly activities.

Hopefully we'll be able to meet up for plenty of snowkiting this winter. Last winter in/around Mt. Bohemia was insane. I'll keep in contact with ya.

Guess people don't know me....I'm very pro-gay. I meant it to be sarcastic at how obvious it was done.

The distressing part about Adrien's post is only that he never mentioned whether or not he's been kiting in the UP! The snowkiting is intense and I'm sure the water is great when it's warm.... It sure looks buttery enough out there.

Seriously though, It's nice to see people being polite on an Internet forum! Cheers, gentlemen!
