the forecast is for a SW wind on Saturday. Is there any reason why I should not concsider Tisconia at St. Joe's? all comments are appreciated.

Its a bit early to make a decision as to whether it will be good, but there's no harm in keeping an eye on the forecast. These fall winds have been pretty gusty and even Waukegan on a S (Monday) which was forecasted to be great, ended up skunky. I don't know from personal experience if St. Joes will end up the same way, but I'm sure someone else will chime in who knows the spot better than me.

not on a rainy day like today because it would be frustratingly gusty (sw+rain=no fun) but in the fall if a cloud sun mix happens, many pass up st joe for south haven. its 1st stop up the coast for where waves begin to show. you can keep driving many more hours but at that point go to hatteras :D or wait and hatty may come to you on the backside a day later!

SW is perfect for Tiscornia. However if the forcast holds it will be a hammering SW turning W...those type of conditions will result in well overhead surf and as it turns more West and onshore it will become jumbled... My advice would be to keep an eye on mich city, as it can be smooth riding on a SW going W..

Since it is a Sat blow, there will be a lot of kiters hitting the bottom so stay tuned!! Keep it safe and have fun...
