Currently 220degrees at MC. In case you don't know 225 degrees is SW. So it is basically SW now, slightly offshore.

TAFs updated to show 270 deg at O'hare straight West winds. Calling for WNW in an hour if they get the call right

I'll post up when I leave. It should be soon, it's already switching over and not as gusty. Should be strong the rest of the day too.

MC to New Buffalo was a really fun session. What did we have 8 or 10 of us? Waves were not big, but is was really good with mostly waist to some head high waves and really smooth on the inside.

Great to ride with the Chicago crew again and thanks Ivo for setting up the downwinder. Good call.

Sorry for having to bail early on dinner, etc. but I was already running on nothing but fumes and the 4 hour ride home was harder than the 21 hour obx drive home. Next time.

fun conditions but to explore the NE variations along those shores at different locations and scenarios, is the true gem for harbor country MC!!

fun conditions but to explore the NE variations along those shores at different locations and scenarios, is the true gem for harbor country MC!! Waves can be exceptionally powerful and explosive for a lake and soon as the wind dies off. certain sandbars will deliver amazing size and power. last summer was especially firing for surfing in trunks. whats not to love!
