Water temps

Postby Kevin » Tue Jul 24, 2012 1:04 pm

Anyone ever seen water temps like this? 80's, in July?

I've sorta loosely followed water temps, always thought Lake Michigan peaked to low to mid 70s by end of August

It's crazy isn't it? I'm loving these temps since I can wear just board shorts on even a cloudy day with 75ish air and this 80* water. Feels better to be in the water haha. On the flip side i wonder how the ecosystem is doing. Hotter water = Less oxygen. I'm not sure of the other consequences. Anyone care to elaborate?

lots of big dead fish also washing up on shore.
