hmmm...well, my little sister is getting in the way of this trip because she decided to get married on March 10th. Therefore, I will have to come on the first Friday or Saturday you guys are going. I was talking to a girl I play volleyball with last night who is from Puerto Rico. She is actually from the town near Shacks and will be sending me some info on places to stay there. I'll pass on the info when I get it. Hopefully we can get some info from Keith on places near La Paguera on the SW coast as well (flatwater!!). I'm not really down with staying with you smelling pigs in a car all week. LOL!! V, let's catch up this weekend and talk about rental cars, lodging, etc.

shizzzzzzz.... V, I'm gonna need a lesson on riding monsters like that. I hear the reef is shallow there as well so little room for error. Imagine the boost you can get off a lip like that though on the way out

I have found that flights are sometimes more expensive if you buy too far out from the trip. I seem to have the best luck buying about 3 weeks before the trip. I paid $360 for our direct flights but could have gotten for right at $300 if I would have been willing to not fly direct. Jet Blue has got some cheap flight down there right now.

klatt we will be there MAR2 to the 11th. Roughly ten days running loose on every decent break we can find. There's a couple others considering only going for 3-4 days of that timeframe.

Man some work stuff foiled my option of coming down either weekend. I was so looking into this trip. Those waves look a bit menacing.

Those waves do look a little scary but man i'd have to give em a try if I were there. Sounds like you guys have a great trip planned, wish you guys great wind and killer swell!!!

They always take pics of the epic wave days. I would think most days it will be a little smaller...

This link takes you to Kiteboarding Magazines website. In the center of their homepage is a little video viewer where there is a new flick by Blast Kiteboarding at Shacks. It is worth a look. The conditions in the movie are pretty much identical to the ones I saw there.

The La Paguera flats are a ton of fun. I wrote about it under "Sweet time in Puerto Rico" in the Travel forum.

My brother, Windmill, and I are trying to go down there for his Spring Break. Maybe we'll meet up.

Too bad the PR link seems to be messed up and it keeps showing the LEN10 Storm Sess vid. Not a bad vid at all but was hoping to see some waveriding... oh well. Thanks Rorke!

I got it to work. Go to the PR movie, then right click on "download windows" and pick open in new window and it plays the right vid. Sweet waves!! T-minus 8 and counting...
