Outerbanks Questions

Post by Sigmoffitt » Mon Jul 07, 2008 2:04 pm

Hey all, I am planning a trip to the outerbanks for the week following Labor Day this year and would like some advice. Any you could give me would be great, (I'm driving so no flight advice needed). My main questions is if anyone knows of decent and cheap places to stay. Thanks.

We usually go off season and rent a house (I think we need two houses next year) it is dirt cheap. This time of year will be more money but still reasonable. We usually stay in Avon. Check out http://realkiteboarding.com/index.cfm?page=travel they have some advice where to stay cheap.

Outerbeaches realty

Stay in Rodanthe, Salvo, or waves. The best downwinders are there.

I second what Cory reccomends.
Outer beaches is the BEST place to rent from....Hatteras Island realty is good too , but very very over priced with lots of "conditions and fees" that you are accountable for. deposits...blah blah whatever....

Outer beaches you simply pay for the week and you are done.....I will always go to them for housing hands down the best on the OBX IMHO.

Also bring everythng in the garage from big to small....you'll use it all.

Have a blast.
