Yup, that's Corpus for you, that's the reason i have my crib on that hairline of an island.

I have a secret , well, I'm sure it's not a secret to the locals but there is this spot I hit one time, it's on the highway on the left side past Wildcat. It has many island that you can zig zag around like a maze, Shallow wait deep. Personally, I think every location there rocks. Wich I was down there with all you guys.

Enjoy all of you,

Gerard

Making progress at the shop. All cleaned up and getting production clicking. Helped Jerry design a 132 yesterday; hopefully getting the pop of the 130 wide with the turning of the 130 surf. Putting it in the box soon, should be testing it early next week.

Wind is still just cranking, several more 7m days this week. Been doing downwinders to several destinations in the Laguna...looking for the right combo of wind and glass. Unbelievable how many square miles of riding are at our doorstep.

Already blowing 30-35 in the Laguna at 7:45.......should be gusts upwards of 45 today. Going to hit the surf this morning and then hold on and FLY this afternoon in the Laguna Madre.

geez West,

the way you are describing it, it sounds like your gunna boost from the surf side of the island to the laguna without putting down your kite

Maggie is going to post some pics from the Chicago crew's visit to the Laguna. They are all taken from the porch at Maggie and Jerry's place. V, Jarch, Rick, and Ryan all had good sessions while here. Of course the wind has not stopped blowing, and the forecast is for another 4 or 5 days of wind....

The views shown are a "small portion" of the flat-water paradise known as the Laguna Madre. If you are not familiar with this body of water, look at a map and check it out. It is dotted with clusters of islands, and pats of butter. Inaccessible in many spots to most everyone except kiters!!!!!!!!!!! Hundreds of square miles of water, kitable in every wind direction, with almost no obstruction of any kind. And it is 30 feet from Maggie and Jerry's porch.

Check out Jarch using the air compressor to inflate his kite, the short walk out to launch....nice profiles of V's and Jarch's kites, Rick skying it on the inside, Jarch stylin' out a rail grab.....All of the pictures of V didn't turn out (he was jumping out of the viewfinder).

More photos to follow.....boardbuilding. BROKITE!

Time to rig...12m before it kicks in again.

Yeah, the house is awesome. And Corpus rules......cheap, good food, friendly people, driving on the beach, kiting almost anywhere, anytime, all of the time!!!!!!!!!!

Still blowing. Kiting in the Laguna and the surf each day the last several days. Going to blow through the weekend.

Boards are looking great. Should post some pics of the process and the boards tonight. Making 129, 132, 134, and 137's.

Corpus delivers again......23 out of 23 days!!!! Boards turning out great. Really happy about how they look, new shapes, and construction. Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive in Corpus on the new boards. Won't be too long before they're replacing the OG as the stick of choice on the Texas coast.

Heading back to Chicago with some BROKITE boards to rip up Lake Michigan. I've always got an extra board or two to try if you'd like to check one out.

Try to make it down to Corpus if you have never been, it'll blow your socks off........"can't tell me, I didn't shout it from the hills.......'Corpus rules' "
