I'll be at miller tomorrow, looks good enough for me.. if not I'll bring the Frisbee and spend another day on the beach, but I think the wind will show..

jojy, you basically have to just pick a couple people you've met on the beach that you're comfortable with and get your advice from them, make sure they're someone with experience though.. there are a lot of real down to earth guys on the beach.. not that they don't have the experience, but some of the most frequent posters on here, I haven't met on the beach yet.. don't rely on the "community" for all your answers..

Pricing and Windward Sports..... They price match...period. Don't be too shy to bring them your best price. They will match it.

As they are a small independent shop, I think it's pretty difficult for them to "shop" all their inventory around, and then change the prices. However, if you know what you want, and have a price...bring it in.....

DON"T BE SHY!

Rorke is a great dude. He let me borrow his wetsuit onetime last summer so I could get a session BEFORE he used it for his session. Yes, I got to put on the nice, DRY wetsuit first and Rorke got the WET one when I was done with my session. That is the kind of cool he is!

I think all he was getting at was that the skunk was karma.

Again, Rorke is a great dude. One of the best in our little community.

Breeze? Breeze? Anyone?

I'll be getting up early and making my call in the am. Hope to catch some of you tomorrow @ the beach. I'm gonna have my sup in tow just in case the breeze shuts of but the waves still hold.

IVO, Casino still shuttered?

Hey Cory, can you post direction ( street if possible) to the casino beach ? I've googled it, but I'm not sure where exactly you guys surf.
Thanks

How early is early? I can leave as early as 7 from Logan Square. I have room for 1 more if anyone needs a ride.

Funny you mention Karma, ever since I started getting into kiting I let no garbage hit the ground. I wasn't a litterbug but now I am really worried that every piece of paper I may let fall may affect mother natures wind haha

It was good day,on my way to South Haven I stopped by at the Casino to take a peek on the waves and there was nothing and closed.I was on the water from 9 to 1pm with some decent waves in the morning, some guys were riging 10m  ..Forecast for Miller was very weak in the am,St.Joe is hour drive from it,dont know why you guys didnt make the trip..St.Joe,South Haven, good size of MI had 15-20kt forecast...

With the summer here this is only going to get worser.Carpool, meet some kiters around the lake, bring bear and I could assure you, you'll score much more sesion, since local knowledge and updates are priceless on the lake Michigen,

aloha

Cory, you know that there are only couple reliable meters around the lake:)

10-12m with 12m was better call(since I stick with it to the end)for morning,after 12,some light wind riding..As I heard St.Joe was same,except no waves.

I even took the beast out today,haha..that 130 from West is off the hook..Once I hit sesion with 8m I'll get the report up..So far,I was almost flat with the water in some turns.. That board is a BEAST!

Just wanted to say that although we had no wind to ride on (kinda our fault for not waking up a lot earlier then 9  ), it was really nice to meet the faces behind the names on this forum. So despite not be able to surf today, it was a pleasure to spend the day with all of you guys.

Thanks, and hope for better days with wind :D

Nice job IVO......way to "sniff out" the wind. Glad you got a good sesh on the 130 Freeride(Surf), it was made to ride the waves on Lake Michigan!! Wait till you get it lit up on a windy day with over-head waves!!!

Good to see that the newer kiters are out meeting folks, makes a difference when you can put a face to the name....takes away the ANONYMITY, which kind of changes the way in which you post.....just something to think about.

Rorke, next time buddy.....Bluesfest this wknd. Come on down Friday or Sunday, I will be there all day on those days!!!!!
