I am game for Zion or Waukegan. I just spent two weeks with Bob Cook at OBX calm waters. Lake Michigan waves are new adventure. I am waiting for some company to venture into the new challenge. Call if you plan to kite near SE Wis or Northern IL. 224.628.8350 Louie.

I'm not sure what spot is going to be best for the direction and weather. Keegs would be slightly more difficult with this direction, right?

Wind Direction (WDIR): SSW ( 200 deg true )
Wind Speed (WSPD): 13.0 kts
Wind Gust (GST): 17.1 kts
Atmospheric Pressure (PRES): 29.73 in
Air Temperature (ATMP): 70.7 °F
Wind Speed at 10 meters (WSPD10M): 13.6 kts
Wind Speed at 20 meters (WSPD20M): 13.6 kts

It is slight offshore. Wolf would probably better.

We just scored two outstanding south wind days here in sheboygan. 4-3 and 3 mm booties up here is comfy. Forecast for the bottom of the lake looks very titalating thursday evening and SUP time friday.

You boys need to get some pics
I'd rather be Rollerblading

How about some vids? Scotty and I were playin' in the slicks of Wolf Lake for hours today. Smoothest 10m day I've had there in a while. Burning up in my 4/3 suit. Less rubber = more flexibility.....can't wait till for the whole lake to be like that. Will post vid sometime soon

I clearly have no game on the powered mobes! but lots of fun slamming into knee deep water and gnarly stakes lining the island to keep you honest :D but far as slicks and unhooked goes, Ades got one really, really sick railey and Paul on his way to the mobe got the S bend wicked powered.

We have a really solid crew, at wolf and with all the upgrades, tailgates open and full time peanut gallery, it is not only a scene but where we find a conundrum of epic butter, peaky chop sections, and destructive high winds, in the middle of factories and highways.

This is where i vacation :D :D :D :D

Great first two days of the season for me. Re-learning everything with a waist harness is a little bit of a challenge. Every part of me hurts but my back, so thats a good thing!

Wolf welcomed everyone with 6m, 8m, 10m, 12m, and 14m conditions all within 2 hours.

Great seeing everyone and meeting our new riders!

just imagine how much you all could progress if the conditions were actually good. same issue around here. its 8m, no its 14m, no its 10 meter, no its 6m, hey where did the wind go?

cool thing is, if you get something dialed in gnarly gusty conditions it gets so easy when you get good wind.
10 mph?

Yeah he's exaggerating a bit much for yesterday. Most were on 10's and by the end of the day it was 12-14. You got it right though Jens, once you hit a steady wind spot things seem to drive themselves

First off most people can't go every day anyway, and that's what it's going to take to match the vids we all watch. But if I could, there would b no reason to blame the conditions we had anyway. In fact many of us were on the same kite in powered wind for some 4 hours. There was and usually is more than adequate kite time to work it out and many of us have some skills but going every day is not an option anyway. The platform is there to progress but keep in mind most won't go thru the crashes to do powered mobes whether its hatters or wolf anyway. It's a job at that level

Gale warning 35 knots... Waves 8-12 ft, occasionally 16 ft.
Any definite plans yet? I was thinking Zion in the morning, hoping for more of these 8-12 ft, rather than 16 ft but maybe Montrose is a safer bet?

Tom,they always jacked up wave forecast with 35-40knts on forecast,it wont be that big..but sure it will be nice, get there early and leave early, since that energy is usually creating there and getting pushed down the lake..Hope this time you'll have someone with you to ride, launch, keep a eye on..As they say lighting never strike twice in same spot that pole-sign in Zion is magnetic for some.Have fun ..
