SUP Race, Ride & Relay for Young Adult Cancer Survivors 7/27

Post by skysurfr » Fri Jul 12, 2013 9:16 am

Join the Robert H Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center, True North Treks, Kayak Chicago and Surfrider Chicago on Saturday, July 27th for the 2nd Annual Stand Up Paddleboard Race, Ride and Relay to benefit Young Adult Cancer Survivors. Whether you are a professional stand up paddleboarder or have never been on a board, but always wanted to try it – this day is for you! There are multiple races for everyone’s ability level as well as clinics available for participants who want to learn to Stand Up Paddleboard. If you aren’t interested in getting in the water there will be yoga on the beach and an after party at the Dock on Montrose featuring live band, South of 80, a raffle and drink specials. We have added a new 4 person relay to the day and this would be a perfect time to have team represent our company!! Last year we raised enough money to send one young adult on a free trek and gave money to the cancer center to help cover the costs of young adult programming. If you can’t attend, please share this even with friends and family!!

Learn more about the event and register at

If you’d like to volunteer to help out that day or have any questions, reach out to Kristin Smith at
